MEET THE LYSAKOVS

Constantine was born and raised in Moscow. He came to know the Lord through the high school ministry of Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ). At age 21, he became Bill Bright’s personal interpreter in Russia. During that time, he also served as the youth pastor of Moscow Bible Church while finishing up his degree in physical chemistry. Upon completion of his Bachelor of Science degree, he accepted Dr. Bright’s invitation to study at the International School of Theology in California. During his last few months of studies there, he served at as the campus director for Cru’s ministry at Cal State, San Bernardino.

Upon returning to Russia with a Master of Divinity degree in Exposition and Teaching, Constantine assumed the role of rector at New Life Bible College, a ministry of Cru Russia. Six years later, he left this post to found “The Roof” a ministry to businessmen and young professionals which shortly grew into a network of over 300 people in Moscow. Branches of this ministry were launched in St.Petersburg and Krasnoyarsk. At the same time, Constantine together with basketball star, Kelly McCarty, started a Bible study for professional basketball players that attracted close to 50 athletes from the Euroleague and NBA during the two years of its existence. At that time, Constantine also served as “the city director” of Cru for Moscow and was a member of the national leadership team.

He left Cru in 2012 to join the staff at Moscow Bible Church, where he currently serves as senior pastor in charge of vision and strategic development.

Alexandra was also born and raised in Moscow, and just like Constantine, came to her saving faith through a high school ministry of Cru. She graduated from high school summa cum laude and was accepted to the very prestigious Higher School of Economics in Moscow, subsequently pursuing a graduate degree at Sorbonne University in Paris. She received her Master of Economics from both the Higher School of Economics and from Sorbonne University.

Upon her return to Moscow, Alexandra joined Ernst and Young. She worked as a senior bank analyst for PSB bank, one of the top 10 banks in Russia, prior to leaving her professional career for ministry. She joined the staff of Moscow Bible Church in 2016 and has spearheaded its social ministry ever since. Part of her ministry was to help various charitable foundations in Russia successfully run their fundraising programs. In 2019 Alexandra launched “More than Words,”  a charitable foundation to help other charitable groups to raise much needed support for orphans, the sick, and other urgent humanitarian needs. Currently “More than Words” helps over a dozen different foundations in Russia, as well as raising funds to help Ukrainian refugees.

Constantine and Alexandra were married in 2012. They have two boys, Mikhail and Ivan, along with a daughter, Elena.
